The center mainly undertakes a number of experimental courses such as new media technology, covering students majoring in journalism and communication direction, and at the same time opens public elective courses of multimedia teaching experiments for some majors of the whole school, so as to cultivate high-quality, comprehensive and innovative scientific and technological talents in line with the needs of national construction.

It adopts advanced network management technology, modern multimedia teaching technology as a means, and colorful teaching forms to meet the needs of students at different levels and with different interests. After years of development and construction, it has been built into a modern and open experimental teaching center which is student-oriented, with advanced educational concepts, scientific teaching system, systematic experimental teaching materials, perfect experimental facilities, excellent experimental equipments, reasonable team structure, first-class service level, and distinctive features, which has realized centralized management, resource sharing, and maximized the demand for experimental teaching and scientific research, so as to make full use of the overall benefits. It has realized centralized management and resource sharing to meet the needs of experimental teaching and scientific research to the maximum extent so as to give full play to its overall effectiveness.
