Undergraduate program-- Environment Design

This program aim to cultivate application-oriented talents with a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge of environment design and with design and innovative capabilities, who are able to engage in environment design teaching and research in colleges and universities, or engage in interior design of public buildings, living space design, urban landscape environment and community planting design as well as landscape design in professional design institutions. The undergraduates are equipped with capabilities of project planning and management, teaching and research.

Core Courses                                               

Interior performance chart manifestations, interior design principles, professional model making, ergonomics, materials and construction of interior design, interior design practice, computer design manifestations, history of Chinese arts and crafts, environmental psychology, environmental art, and history of architecture, etc..

Photography, professional model making and materials and construction of interior design

Program Learning Outcomes

(1) Master basic theoretical knowledge of architectural and environmental art; have basic ability of professional design and practice.

(2) Master the technologies in architectural and environmental art and the construction technology of various materials.

(3) Master related skills and methods of expression, including freehand artistic expression, computer application, creativity and working methods.

(4) Obtain cultural and interdisciplinary knowledge, understand principles, policies, regulations and domestic and international development trend in the field of environment art and design.

(5) Capabilities of vividly and accurately expressing design intent by sketches, drawings, models, renderings and computer graphics technology.

(6) Basic photography skills.

(7) Proficiency in a variety of design software.
