On June 8, the event Encounter & Dialogue: A Conversation Across Time and Space was officially launched at the Municipal Museum of Nea Smyrni in Athens. Guided by the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Embassy in Greece, the event was co-hosted by the Information Offices of the People's Governments of Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province. It was jointly undertaken by Qilu Institute of Technology, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation Wo Su International Communication Center, Shandong Radio and Television Station Shandong International Communication Center, and the Institute of Chinese Classical Civilization.Hu Heping, Executive Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Fang Qiu, Chinese Ambassador to Greece, and Giorgos Dizaskalou, Secretary-General of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, attended the launching ceremony and delivered speeches. More than 150 guests and journalists from cultural, sports and educational circles of China and Greece were present. Shan Chengjuan, Vice President of QIT, led a delegation to attend the event and the Exhibition of Hundred Schools of Thought.
