On 9th December, the Inaugural Meeting of Qufu Association of Western Returned Scholars (Overseas-educated Scholars Association) was held, along with its First Member Assembly. The event was attended by Liang Jiankun, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Jining Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Jining Overseas Chinese Affairs Office; Mao Yuhua, Member of the Standing Committee of the Qufu Municipal Party Committee, Office Director, and Minister of the United Front Work Department, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, as well as other leaders, including Liu Lu from the Jining Municipal United Front Work Department’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Section, and Wang Wei, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of Qufu Municipal Party Committee. Li Zhao, Vice President of our university and Director of Qufu Campus Management Committee, was successfully elected as the Executive Vice President of the association’s first council.
