Recently, Shandong Educational Calligraphers’ Association, Shandong Educational Department of Art Education Committee, Shandong Language Workers Association have jointly organized “Jinan Publishing Cup” 2017 Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Contest of Shandong Provincial schools. Our students have achieved great successwith their outstanding performance. In the college students' professional group competition, Chen Shuai won the first prize, Chen Zonghui and Shang Guoyi won the second, 17 students including He Haibing, Jiang Yupeng etc. won the excellence awards. In the non-professional group, Sun Rui and Wu Zhiwen won the second prize. The School of Arts was granted the “Excellent Organization Award”.

The calligraphy seal cutting contest was designed to actively implement the spirit of the relevant documents of CPC, to improve the level of university teachers and students in Chinese characters, to enhance their  self-confidence, express their love for the country. The contest lasted more than three months, and has received more than 5000 pieces of calligraphy and seal cutting works.
For preparing and organizing the contest, QIT has collected the students’ calligraphy seal cutting works all over the whole school, and finally selected a batch of outstanding works. This competition has fully demonstrated the high comprehensive quality and good cultural and artistic accomplishment of our students, and has laid a good foundation for the future aesthetic education .
