Recently, QIT students have obtained outstanding achievements and won 5 prizes, including one provincial first prize, three provincial second prizes, and a provincial third prize in 2017 National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest.

The National Mathematical Modeling Contest for Undergraduate Students has provided a platform for university students to show their talent, and provided certain  chances for the training of applied talents as well.

QIT has always attached great importance to strengthening the second classroom construction for undergraduates and has established various types of scientific and technological innovation societies including the Mathematical Modeling Association and the Electronic Design Association to promote the development of students’ innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities. Our school also encourages students to participate in the National University Student Mathematical Contest Modeling Contest actively. It is not only of great usage to stimulate the enthusiasm of students learning mathematics, but also to enhance students’ comprehensive ability to use mathematics knowledge and computer technology to solve practical problems, and it also cultivates students' innovative spirit and teamwork awareness.
