Dr. Muhammad Hayat is a dedicated researcher and Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at Qilu Institute of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Shandong University, under the supervision of Professor Li Yuezhong. His doctoral research centered on myxobacterial natural products, integrating classical microbiological methods with advanced bioinformatics and biosynthetic strategies to identify and characterize novel bioactive metabolites.
Dr. Hayat’s research program is focused on microbial drug discovery, with particular emphasis on the development of innovative inhibitors targeting Gram-negative bacterial pathogens. Through the integration of experimental microbiology, chemical and structural analysis, and computational methodologies, his work seeks to address the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
He has published more than 25 scholarly works, including original research articles, review papers, and book chapters, in reputable international journals and academic publishers.
