Dr. Muhammad Adnan Qaiser is an Associate Professor at the Qilu Institute of Technology, whose research lies at the intersection of materials science, photocatalysis, and sustainable energy conversion. His work focuses on developing innovative semiconductor and metal–organic framework (MOF) composites for green hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) synthesis and solar-to-chemical energy transformation, aiming to address global challenges in clean energy and environmental sustainability. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Nanjing University of Science and Technology and completed his postdoctoral research at Jiangsu University, where he explored the interfacial charge-transfer dynamics in MOF–semiconductor heterojunctions for efficient, sacrificial-agent-free photocatalytic reactions. His current research integrates rational materials design, interfacial engineering, and theoretical modeling (DFT) to uncover charge migration pathways and optimize redox selectivity in advanced photocatalytic systems. Dr. Qaiser has published more than 25 research papers in leading international journals, including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Inorganic Chemistry, and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. His recent work has contributed to the understanding of S-scheme charge transfer mechanisms and the creation of dual-channel photocatalytic systems for sustainable chemical production. He was also honored with the Excellent Postdoctoral Award of Jiangsu Province (2024) in recognition of his outstanding research achievements. Through his research, Dr. Qaiser aspires to advance the development of eco-friendly catalytic technologies that convert solar energy into valuable chemical fuels, paving the way toward a more sustainable and carbon-neutral future.
