On January 15, 2019, Dr. Dirk Schlegel, Dean of the Thuringian College of Jena University of Applied Sciences, and Vice President of the International College of Paderborn University, Zhong Junwei paid a visit to Qilu Institute of Technology (QIT). Vice President Shan Chengjuan and Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Sun Keke met with the delegation.

During the meeting, Vice President Shan Chengjuan welcomed the arrival of Dean Schlegel and made a brief introduction to the basic situation of QIT and the achievements QIT has made in international education cooperation in recent years. She expressed the hope that after the discussion, the friendship between the two universities will be deepened and the areas of cooperation between the two sides will be actively explored. Subsequently, Dean Schlegel briefly introduced the basic situation of Jena and Jena University of Applied Sciences. He expressed his great expectation for long-term cooperation with QIT, especially cooperation in electrical engineering, information engineering and nursing. After the talks, the delegation visited the electrical information engineering experimental teaching center and nursing experiment teaching center, Dean Schlegel have full confidence in various cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
