On October 30th, Mr. Zhang Gensheng, the Taiwan expert in the spice cultivation and extraction, visited Qilu Institute of Technology. Our Chairwoman Chang Cuiming met the guest at the 1st Meeting Room in the library, with deputy Deans Du Yide, Song Jiajin and Shan Chengjuan and Secretary of the Office Li Ji’an and Wang Huaiyou, the Dean of School of Chemical and Biological Engineering at present.

At the meeting, Chang Cuiming extended warm welcome to Mr. Zhang Gensheng on behalf of the school and then gave him a brief introduction about QIT’s history, philosophy of school management and major setup. Chang hoped that both parties could take this chance to establish friendly and cooperative relations. Afterwards, both parties carried out deep discussions and dialogues on scientific research, social service, and application-oriented talent education.

Our school asked Zhang Gensheng to give a report as well. Mr. Zhang Gensheng specializes in agricultural biotechnology and has a deep knowledge of natural spice cultivation and extraction. In the report, Zhang presented the latest scientific research results and gave a detailed introduction of its promotional value.

Wu Wei, the deputy director general of Zhangqiu Bureau of Commerce, Cui Shijing, the deputy director of Higher education Office and the teachers and the students from the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering also listened to the report.  They raised many questions and the atmosphere got heated at the meeting.
